Amid nationwide school closures in an effort to slow the spread of COVID-19, virtual learning has become the new reality for students and teachers across the country, drastically changing the way teachers teach and students learn. While this situation presents both students and teachers with new challenges, there is much to be positive about. In an effort to bring us together while we are at home and to spread positivity, Give More HUGS is introducing opportunities for students and teachers to connect, converse, and share their love for learning and reading.

Our community of students and teachers are working together to launch the #ReadTogether and #LearnTogether campaign. If you are a student or teacher, we encourage you to sign up below.

At GMH, we believe in the importance of reading and learning together. We can learn a lot from one another and we hope that you will join us as we stay home together.

#ReadTogether Campaign

Although we are all at home – we are still connected. There are still stories to be written, shared, and read. The purpose of the #ReadTogether campaign is to empower students, teachers, and parents to continue on in their quest towards personal and collective literacy through online book readings. Virtual volunteers from all walks of life will read children stories of all kinds to participate in our #ReadTogether campaign. We ask that volunteers read scholastic books that they have at home to share a love for reading with children around the world via social media. Together, we will foster ways to connect with one another and promote literacy at home.
